What Will You Learn in BLS?

During BLS training, you'll learn and practice skills used to respond to cardiac arrest, respiratory emergencies, and choking.

Hands-On BLS Skills Include:

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

• One-rescuer and multi-rescuer CPR

• Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use

• Bag-mask ventilation

• Choking response

• Recognition of cardiac arrest

• Team dynamics during resuscitation

This is hands-on training. You'll have the opportunity to practice the skills before completing the required skills evaluation.

What Certification Will I Receive?

After successfully completing the course requirements, you'll receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard.

Your BLS Provider certification is valid for two years.
